I'm definitely going to use some of them in my Bear the Flame game. The series follows the adventures of Jo Shanks, a character introduced in The Green Ember who became more prominent during Ember Falls. He really gets time to shine in this installment. Great job, S.D.!Ĭharacters were well-developed, even in such a short amount of time! Jo may have just become my favorite character. The story incorporates elements from the previous Archer stories, and then some! It was also cool to see more of a focus on internal conflicts between the rabbits instead of the classic wolf-attacks-rabbits sort of thing. was good at coming up with that sort of thing! I was proven so, so wrong! The story this time around is not only the best Archer story, but it is the best tale Smith has spun other than the main GE series itself. Honestly, I was not expecting a mystery that was going to be that good, saying that I'm a huge Sherlock Holmes, etc. Plot was incredible this time around! Smith really surprised me this time. First of all, this was BY FAR the best Archer series book! I'm glad Smith ended the series with a bang! ![]()
